The Facility Services department is responsible for the maintenance, operation, construction of all schools and administrative buildings for the Halton District School Board. In addition this department is responsible for the rental of our schools, energy efficiency and record management and documentation of all buildings. The department works with the Ministry of Education on maintaining and developing schools, school additions, and temporary accommodation. The department is integrated with all other departments of the Board in the efficient use, operation and development of our schools.

The documents contain the procedures and process utilizaed by Facility Services staff in providing services to the system. these procedures also outline the involvement of Principal and the public in the execution of these procedures.

Maintenance
The Maintenance division is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of our schools and administrative buildings. This department is also responsible for the renewal of our facilities through such larger maintenance programs such as roofing, window replacement etc. Additionally this department manages the energy and environmental conditions of our schools.
Operations
The operations division is responsible for the daily operation and upkeep of our schools and administrative buildings. This division is responsible for the cleaning, cafeteria operation, security, snow clearing , garbage and recycling and play structure development.
Construction
The Construction division is responsible for the design and development of all new schools. Also the Construction division is responsible for any renovations, additions and portable moves.
Rentals
The Rental division processes and coordinates the use of our schools by community groups and school groups.
