The Planning department is an essential part of a School Board. We are responsible for the planning of student accommodation within Halton.
Our planning staff conducts accommodation studies, which assist in determining the future of existing schools, the need for new schools and also additions.
It is also planning’s responsibility for the management of school attendance boundaries, portable allocations and production of short and long-term enrolment projections. Close contact with developers and local municipal planners help us keep up with fast track developments and housing counts, which is a big part in long term planning.
It is our goal to provide visitors with information on planning initiatives and events, short term and long.
