March 28, 2011: The Halton District School Board’s Parent Involvement Committee’s (PIC) annual regional meeting will take place on Thursday, April 28, 2011 from 7–8:30 p.m. There will be a team of PIC and staff members coordinating the meetings at the libraries of the following four locations:

● Iroquois Ridge High School, 1123 Glenashton Drive, Oakville
● Georgetown District High School, 70 Guelph Street, Georgetown
● Lester B. Pearson High School, 1433 Headon Road, Burlington
● Milton District High School, 396 Williams Avenue, Milton

The agenda will include highlighting the successes of the year, upcoming events and discussion of Dr. Joyce Epstein’s Six Types of Parental Engagement – The Keys to Successful School, Family and Community Partnerships.

The Parent Involvement Committee recognizes parents play a vital role in the development and education of their children and in the success of schools and therefore provides a regular opportunity for parents to network, share ideas, offer input and enjoy informative presentations on a number of education related topics throughout the school year.
