Bullying prevention seminar taking place in Oakville next month
September 21, 2011: The Halton District School Board, in partnership with Halton Region, present a guest speaker next month to talk about how students and parents can help stop bullying.


John Linney – an international speaker and co-author of the book, Safe School Ambassadors: Harnessing Student Power to Stop Bullying and Violence – will be speaking at the Halton Regional Centre Auditorium (1151 Bronte Road, Oakville) on Wednesday, October 5, 2011. The Empowering Students to Stop Bullying and Mistreatment presentation will run from 7-8:30 p.m. The evening is free for everyone to attend.

The workshop will highlight the impact bullying has on students and families, practical strategies to address bullying, and how parents can partner with their schools to prevent and address harm so everyone can thrive.
