December 1, 2010: The Halton District School Board encourages school communities to nominate a teacher or support staff member for the 2011 Premier’s Award for Teaching Excellence.
Outstanding teachers and support staff can make a difference in a child’s life – and it happens in schools every day. The Halton District School Board takes pride in the work of all staff and wishes to see more of their many successes recognized through this prestigious award by the Premier’s Office and the Ontario Ministry of Education.
There are six different award categories, recognizing a range of people and skills.
If you know a teacher or support staff member who has made a difference in your school community and has demonstrated their commitment to students, please take the time to nominate them. Nominations can be submitted by anyone including students, parents, staff, colleagues, community members, local business people and social agency partners. Teachers, support staff, principals and vice-principals, supervisory officers, directors of education and many others are eligible for nomination.
