Health and wellness event for staff, families on May 15, 2011

May 5, 2011: On Sunday May 15, 2011, the Halton District School Board will be hosting, Living It Everyday! This health and wellness event, open to staff and their family members, will be held at the YMCA of Oakville (410 Rebecca Street, Oakville) from 1-4 p.m.

The Halton District School Board is proud to partner with the YMCA of Oakville to offer this event. The day coincides with International Day of Families. Highlighting this year’s event will be family Zumba, rock climbing and healthy cooking classes.

“The promotion of healthy and active living for all staff, work/family balance, and employee health and wellness are the focus of this Board event,” says Dawn Beckett-Morton, Executive Officer of Human Resources for the Halton District School Board.

Admission and parking are free. There will also be vendor displays from the Canadian Mental Health Association, the YMCA of Oakville, along with blood typing from Canadian Blood Services.

Pre-registration is required at http://registrations.hdsb.ca/LivingIt. The first 100 staff to register online and attend will receive a gift and be entered for a chance to win a family getaway to Great Wolf Lodge.
