Oct. 15, 2012: The Halton District School Board will hold the official groundbreaking ceremony for its newest elementary school on Tuesday, October 23 at 1:30 p.m.  The ceremony will take place at the school site at 625 Sauve Street, near the intersection of Derry Road and Fourth Line, Milton. 

This new school will help address the growth in student enrolment occurring in south Milton. Construction of the school will begin immediately, with the official opening anticipated for September 2013.  The school will be built for approximately 700 pupils.  The Halton District School Board has awarded the architectural tender to Allen & Sherriff Architects, Richmond Hill, and the construction contract to Everstrong Construction Ltd., Orangeville.

In attendance at the ceremony will be Halton District School Board trustees, administrators, local government officials, area residents and a number of students who will attend the new school when it opens in September 2013.
