Open House/Information meeting scheduled for residents to learn more about new Alton elementary school
October 18, 2011: Burlington residents are invited to attend an Open House/Information evening to learn about the new elementary school currently under construction at 3290 Steeplechase Drive in the northeast area of Burlington.  The school is scheduled to open in Fall 2012.

At the meeting, parents and community members may view the school’s architectural plans, speak with trustees and staff members, and learn about the process for determining the programs and boundaries for this new school. There are a number of schools that could be potentially impacted by the boundary review including Rolling Meadows PS, Clarksdale PS, CH Norton PS, Florence Meares PS, Orchard Park PS and Charles R. Beaudoin PS. Parents who wish to participate on the Boundary Review Committee may pick up an application at the meeting.  Applications will also be available on the Halton District School Board website (www.hdsb.ca) beginning Friday, October 21. The deadline for applications for the Boundary Review Committee is Friday, October 28, at 12:00 (noon).

The Open House will be held on:

Date: Wednesday, October 26, 2011
Time: 7-9 p.m.
Location: Lester B. Pearson High School (Cafeteria), 1433 Headon Road, Burlington
