October 26, 2012: The Halton District School Board opened a new Milton elementary school in September 2012.  The school, temporarily named Milton Public School, provides relief to overcrowding at P.L. Robertson Public School. 

We are asking the Milton community to help us name this new school.   Suggestions should reflect good taste and a positive image of the Board, and cannot be the same name or similar to another school name within Halton.

Suggestions will be accepted from October 29 to November 23, 2012.

For the short term, Milton Public School is located in the former EC Drury High School site on Ontario Street while waiting for funding approval from the Ministry of Education.  Once this approval is received, a school will be built at 820 Farmstead Drive (between Regional Road 25 and Bronte Street South, south of Derry Road).

Suggestion forms are available at both the Milton Public Main Library and the Beaty Branch Library, and at the following elementary schools in the Halton District School Board: 

Milton Public School, PL Robertson, Escarpment View and Tiger Jeet Singh.
