Wednesday, November 23, 2011 marked the Halton District School Board’s Loonie Day, an annual fundraiser for United Way. Schools and work locations throughout the board held theme days ranging from Pajama Day, Hat Day, even favourite Hockey Shirt Day! For example, some musically talented students at Centennial Public School, in Georgetown, played before school and during the nutrition breaks while students walked by and tossed in their loonies.
