Sir Ernest MacMillan Public School students bring holiday cheer to Halton District School Board office

During their performance of "When Santa Got Stuck in the Chimney", the students accompanying sneezing actions for "Achoo, Achoo, Achoo" demonstrate proper germ-prevention technique !
Grade1 students from Burlington’s Sir Ernest MacMillan Public School visited the Board Office on December 1st to decorate the Singleton Centre’s Christmas tree.
About 19 students were accompanied by their teacher Nancy Pearson and numerous parent and grandparent supervisors. The students brought decorations they’d made in class and were extremely proud to adorn the Christmas tree in the main foyer of the Board Office.
After meeting with Director of Education Wayne Joudrie, Superintendent Jeff Blackwell and several staff members, students enjoyed cookies and juice as they sat back and admired the tree they’d made so festive.
The children entertained staff by singing “When Santa Got Stuck in the Chimney” and reciting a poem called “Auntie Flo”.
Before their bus, provided by First Student Transportation, departed students enjoyed a tour of the boardroom with Director Joudrie. The Director spoke to the students about the important decisions made in the boardroom by a group of people called “Trustees”.
JWS staff will definitely enjoy the students’ handmade decorations this holiday season.
Thank you Sir Ernest MacMillan Public School students for visiting the Board Office
