What do I need to apply to University?

Students applying to an Ontario university need an Ontario diploma, including six Grade 12 University or University/College courses (minimum) on which their average will be calculated.  This must include ENG4U and any other required program prerequisites specified by the university to which the student applies.

How do I apply to an Ontario University?

Visit www.ouac.on.ca for more information and the online application
Grades are sent electronically to the Ontario University Application Centre by the Halton District School Board
Secondary school students need to complete a “Freedom of Information” release form to allow schools to release marks electronically

Is university the only way to earn a degree?

No.  Lots of students attend college first and use their diploma program to give them advance standing in a university program
Lots of colleges offer collaborative, consecutive or degree transfer options to universities
