International Baccalaureate (IB) Program

The IB program is an internationally recognized program taught by specially qualified IB teachers.  Students will be recognized throughout the world as having met the rquirements internationally.  Students will follow a rigorous program to complete the necessary work for this program.  IB is sometimes recommended to students in Grade 8 who would benefit from, and be successful in this challenging academic program.

The IB is a multi-disciplinary program that is recognized nationally and Internationally as one of the top university preparation programs. Students who successfully complete the IB program have this designation recognized on both university and college applications.

Students in the grades 9 and 10 ISP (preparation) program receive special enrichment classes in English, Science, Geography, History, Math, and French. These classes are designed to help student prepare for the challenging, yet rewarding experience of the IB program in Grade 11 and 12.

The IB program is currently offered at Robert Bateman H.S. in Burlington,  White Oaks Secondary School in Oakville and Georgetown District H.S. in Georgetown.  Interested students and parents should plan to attend the IB information sessions offered at their local IB school, or contact the IB co-ordinator at each school for more information.
