Full Day Every Day Kindergarten in the 2012-2013 School Year
The Halton District School Board will provide a full day of learning for four-and five-year-old children as part of the Province of Ontario’s plan for early learning. The program will be phased in time -- the first year of the 5-year plan started in September 2010.
As registration for Kindergarten in the 2012-2013 school year begins, 19 additional Halton elementary schools are planning for the Full Day Early Learning Kindergarten (FDELK) program. The 19 schools are are listed below, under the 2012-13 (Year 3) column.
Full-Day Early Learning-Kindergarten Programs for four- and five-year-olds will be available at the following schools:

The Ministry of Education has provided guidelines regarding before and after school care for 4-5 year olds (also referred to as the Extended Day Program). Extended Day Program: * For the 2012-13 school year, the Before & After School Program will be offered through third party partnerships with child care providers in our community. The program will be delivered at the school and will be located in a Kindergarten class or another age-appropriate space.
