Kindergarten Registration
Registration begins in mid-January for Junior and Senior Kindergarten
Parents/guardians may register children for Fall 2012
Beginning in mid January, the Halton District School Board will accept registrations for Junior and Senior Kindergarten for September 2012. Please drop by or call your designated elementary school to find out which dates have been established for Kindergarten registration.
Parents are reminded to register at their existing home school (as shown on School Locator on the Halton District School Board website, www.hdsb.ca)
The new elementary school in the Alton community of Burlington (3290 Steeplechase Drive) is scheduled to open in September 2012. The final boundaries have been determined by trustees.
In 2012, school boundary reviews will take place in Northwest Oakville and Southwest Milton. Parents should continue to register at their current home school. Information about changes to the school boundaries effective for September 2012 will be shared on the board website.
Which school is my child’s home school?
To determine your child's school, go to School Locator. School Boundary Maps are found within the Planning section of the Halton District School Board website.
To register for Fall 2012, Junior Kindergarten children must be 4 years old by December 31, 2012, and Senior Kindergarten children must be 5 years old by December 31, 2012. Parents/guardians must be public school supporters.
Please ensure that your child is registered by Friday, February 17, 2012.

This information will be used for planning and programming, school to home communications, and to establish the Ontario Student Record, which contains information conducive to the improvement of instruction.
