Free Online Mathematics Homework Help offered by the Halton District School Board
The Halton District School Board, the Independent Learning Centre and the Ontario Ministry of Education are pleased to partner together to bring the Homework Help Program to students.
This free site opened on September 26, 2010 and focuses on confidential one-on-one help in mathematics for students in Grades 7, 8, 9 and 10.
Math Homework Help is available Sunday – Thursday from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
Key areas of the site include:
- Homework Help chat rooms with certified teachers
- Listen & Learn presentations with certified teachersInteractive tutorials
- A virtual locker to record l chat sessions for future review
- A variety of other tools such as a glossary of terms and a Calculator
Students will have access to both guided and independent learning in a unique environment that combines technology and interaction. All resources, except the live chat, are available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week.
Note: The following information will be needed to login to the Independent Learning Centre (ILC) in order that they may be registered in the Homework Help Program.
1. Ontario Educational Number (OEN) – found at the top, right of the Ontario report card.
2. Date of Birth
This information is collected for educational purposes and is within the guidelines set out in the Municipal Freedom of information and Privacy Act, 1989.
The registration will take place in your child’s mathematics classroom in early October. At that time, there will be a short presentation followed by the creation of a unique login and password of the child’s choosing.
