Home Notification System

Background

The Home Notification System is used by schools and central office to quickly phone and email messages to our student’s homes.  This system provides information about unexplained student absences, upcoming events, urgent notifications including school closures, and other items of interest.

Email

Informational messages are sent by email to parents rather than phoning.  However if the system does not know your email address, it will phone.  Absences messages are sent by both phone and email.

For urgent events, both phone and emails are sent.

Frequently asked questions

  6. How often will I receive messages?  ANSWER: This varies from school to school.  We try to limit messages to once per week.
  7. When will I receive messages?  ANSWER:  For school closures, we begin contacting homes as early as 6:00 am.  The process may take 60 to 90 minutes to reach our 30,000 homes.  For non-urgent messages, phone calls are made during non-school hours.
