North West Oakville Elementary Schools Boundary Review
An elementary boundary review is underway in the NW Oakville area. Parent/guardians of students attending Abbey Lane PS, Captain R. Wilson PS, Emily Carr PS, Forest Trail PS, Heritage Glen PS, Palermo PS, Pilgrim Wood PS and West Oak PS were notified in January 2012 of the boundary review process.
The purpose of the review is to examine options and recommend an implementation plan for September 2012 for the re-direction of some students in some of the above schools to better balance enrolment.
A Boundary Review Committee (BRC) has been established with representatives of each school. Each school will have two parents/guardians on the committee, selected by their school parent council.

Public Information Meeting was held Monday February 13 (7-9pm) at Abbey Park HS. The deadline for feedback was
February 17.

here. The BRC reviewed criteria as set out in the School Boundary Review procedure and identified the most relevant criteria which will be used in assessing the boundary scenarios. These relevant criteria are highlighted in the document available
here.
NEW!
7 new scenarios (22 to 28) were developed as a result of input from the BRC and members of the community. These scenarios were presented at the February 21 BRC meeting. The BRC then chose
Scenarios 22, 24 and 27 to be recommended to the Boundary Review Steering Committee for their review and consideration.
