Survey Results

The following are the results of the survey that was handed out for the Ward 3 accommodation process: Ward 3 Survey Results. Please note that the results of this survey do not represent a vote. I emphasize that this survey was just one piece of the information that Wayne and I are gathering to help inform our report and recommendation to the Board. The numbers in this survey are the responses received from all over the ward. We had responses from community members with no children in the system. We also had responses from the parents of each of the schools and they came from each geographic part of the ward.

The information the survey has generated will be examined along with the focus group report, the other information we have received from the public and the work of our own staff on bussing numbers, renovation or new construction dollars, the projected enrolments, the impact on enrolments in offering program, the research on transitions and any other information relevent to making a decision.

As mentioned above the survey results are just one of the pieces of information and the results will not be used as a vote to determine our report or recommendation.

Summary of Focus Group Results

The following is the final summary report on the focus groups which occured on April 15th, 16th, 20th (2) and May 4th. The report was written by Michael Rowland of the Randolph Group.
