Looking for help with a Special Education issue?
The teacher, the principal, or the special education teacher can provide help with problem solving for learning needs. They can also bring in other staff from outside your school to assist with problem solving.
Your school has a list of community agencies that can help with many problems.
Students, do you need to talk to or E-mail someone?
Parents, do you need to talk to other parents?
- There are many parent organizations that can help you. Many of them are members of the Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC).
What is the SEAC?
- SEAC is short for the Special Education Advisory Committee. This committee advises the Board on Special education issues. It is made up of representatives from local associations such as the Ontario Association for Families of Children with Communication Disorders, Association for Bright Children, Autism Society, Community Living Association, Easter Seals Society, Halton Down Syndrome Association, Tourette Syndrome Association of Ontario, VIEWS-Support for the Families of Blind and Visually impaired Children, and VOICE for Hearing Impaired Children.
