Dear Montclair Families

Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year.

We look forward to meeting everyone on September 6th on the playground at 8:30 am. Our teachers will have name badges and class lists to help the children to group prior to the 8:45 bell. Should you wish to check your child's class placement prior to school starting, they lists will be posted on the widows at the front of the school at 3:00 on Friday September 2nd. Please note that you will need to have the OEN number from the report card to find your child on the list.

Buss routes will be posted on the front windows mid to late August. You can also check bussing using the HDSB.ca website and your child's OEN number.

We will once again have before and after school on site provided by the YMCA. In order to register you must call the YMCA directly.

Please let us know if your child has any urgent/life threatening medical conditions immediately. We will work with you to complete paperwork, develop an emergency action plan, and notify all staff. We ask all parents to remember that peanuts and nut products should not be brought to school. Please look for the peanut free symbol on packaging to keep our kids safe.

Our school is a TRIBES school. This means we follow four basic agreements in class, on the school grounds and in our community. Mutual Respect, No Put Downs, Attentive Listening, The right to Pass. Students can earn monthly certificated for demonstrating excellence in these areas. These agreements also support the Learning Skills on the report card, especially Self Regualtion.

As of October our newsletter will be online unless you specifically request a paper copy. As you can see our new website makes it easier to find information and is readily available and current.
