From the Principal's Desk
We had a wonderful week of learning and sportsmanship at Boyne this week.
Many classes have begun or continued learning about the Growth and Development strand of the curriculum. If you have questions, we encourage caregivers to connect with their students’ teachers regarding the content. From an educational perspective educators are best situated to provide this information to students as they navigate changes in their growing bodies. If you have chosen to exempt your student, please consider how you will be providing them this information.
We celebrated our Boys and Girls Basketball team during a whole school clap out as they entered the Milton Finals. Both teams played brilliantly demonstrating collaboration, and great sportsmanship. The girls had a tough loss, and our boys team won. We are so proud of both teams. Go Bears!!!

The Boyne Book of Records is back!
We are thrilled to announce the return of one of our favourite traditions: The Boyne Book of Records! Originally launched when our school first opened, this event celebrates our students' incredible talents and competitive spirit. This year, we’re bringing it back as an annual fundraiser to support the Halton Learning Foundation (HLF).
What is the Halton Learning Foundation?
HLF plays a vital role in our community by ensuring every student has what they need to succeed. They provide support for:
- Field trip fees so no student misses out on learning outside the classroom.
- Walmart gift cards for essential clothing, food, and personal hygiene items.
- Emergency funding to eliminate financial barriers to education.
HLF Month is our opportunity to raise awareness and funds to support families right here in our own backyard who require a helping hand.
How the Fundraiser Works
Throughout the month of April, you can sign up to compete in various skills competitions held across every division.
- Student Participation: A minimum donation of $2.00 per event is required to sign up. If you're feeling extra generous, we happily accept larger donations!
- Staff Participation: We’d love to see our staff get involved! Teachers and staff can join the fun with a minimum donation of $25.00.
- Multiple Entries: You are welcome to sign up for more than one competition, provided a donation is made for each event.
- Important Dates
- Donations (April): All sign-ups and donations must be made via School Cash Online (Cashless). The portal will be open for the entire month of April.
- The Main Event (May & June): The actual competitions will take place throughout May and June. Keep your eyes peeled for the specific schedule and event dates coming soon!
Ready to make history? Head over to School Cash Online this April to secure your spot in the Boyne Book of Records. Let’s show our community spirit and help HLF support every student's journey!
Not Competing? You Can Still Help!
If competition isn't your thing, but you still want to support the Halton Learning Foundation, we’ve got you covered! You can make a direct donation of any amount through School Cash Online. Whether it’s $5 or $50, every dollar stays within our community to help a student in need. Simply click on the link below.
