Guidance & Student Services
At Elsie MacGill Secondary School, we know that "success" can mean different things to different people.
That is why our Student Success teacher and the Support Services team strives to help students find and understand their own personal success. They work closely with classroom teachers, special education resource teachers (SERTs), guidance counsellors and school social workers to help support you and help you find your pathway to success.

Community Service Hours:
In Ontario, all secondary school students need to complete at least 40 hours of community service (volunteering) in order to be eligible for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD).
For information regarding how to complete the community involvement hours required for graduation, please view the HDSB's information page. Be sure to review the criteria for eligible activities. You will need to complete this Record of Community Involvement Form and submit it to your Guidance Counsellor. You can also use this Google Form to submit your Record of Community Involvement.
