About Us

Celebrating our 20th year, Hawthorne Village Public School proudly opened during the 2005–2006 school year and continues to thrive as a Kindergarten to Grade 8 learning community within the Halton District School Board. Guided by our motto, “It Takes a Village,” we believe in the strength of collaboration and shared responsibility among students, families, staff, and community partners. Our school is grounded in the Halton District School Board’s Multi-Year Strategic Plan, with a strong focus on equity and inclusion, student learning and achievement, Indigenous rights and education, mindfulness, environmental education, and fostering kindness, connection, and community. Together, we are committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where every learner is valued and supported to reach their full potential.
