Principal’s Message
Welcome to Oodenawi Public School
At Oodenawi Public School, our name tells our story: Oodenawi Means Community. Whether you are a long-standing member of our school family, a new neighbor, or a visitor to our website, we welcome you to a space where connection and belonging are at the heart of everything we do.
As Principal, I am proud to lead our school alongside Vice Principals Tanya Nicol and Blaire Houde. Together, we are dedicated to fostering an environment where every individual is valued and supported. We believe that a school thrives best when it serves as a cornerstone for the broader community, providing a safe and inspiring place for all to grow.
Our daily life at the school is guided by the Oodenawi Community Values. These principles shape our interactions and define our culture:
-
Empathy: Understanding and sharing the feelings of others.
-
Responsibility: Taking ownership of our actions and our impact on the world.
-
Friendship and Collaboration: Building strong bonds and working together toward common goals.
-
Inclusion: Ensuring everyone has a seat at the table and feels they belong.
-
Respect: Treating ourselves, others, and our environment with care and dignity.
Oodenawi is a place where we learn together and thrive together. We are honored to be part of this vibrant community and look forward to the many ways we will continue to excel as one.
Best wishes,
Ryan Henderson
