The Halton District School Board's annual Halton Faculty Art Show, designed to showcase the skills of visual art teachers, is drawing near.
Approximately two-dozen teachers will showcase their artwork during a 12-week art show at the Oakville Town Hall (1225 Trafalgar Rd) from June 10 until August 27, 2019. The art show is free for visitors to attend during Town Hall opening hours. More than 60 pieces will be included, displaying a wide variety of mediums, subject matter and styles.
Hosted by ArtWorks Oakville, a private opening reception will take place on Wednesday, June 19 from 6:30 - 9 p.m. where people can meet with the teacher-artists who are usually busy teaching students the skills of creating art.
Some of the artwork will be available for purchase. ArtWorks is a non-profit volunteer organization dedicated to promoting and showcasing visual artists at several public spaces in Oakville.
