Digital citizenship encompasses a broad range of knowledge, skills and attitudes among students, staff, administration and parents about Internet usage.
Numerous resources are available to all schools to support digital citizenship including the Board's Acceptable Use Procedures for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) use in schools.
Digital citizenship integrates:
- Safe and Inclusive School strategies (i.e., Culturally Responsive Teaching, Assets Building, Restorative Practices, Collaborative Problem Solving);
- Mental Health and Well-Being Strategy - to encourage respect and positive social skills when using technology.
