Wait for the automated call out that the school will launch once with have completed their attendance process. Parents have an opportunity to provide a reason for the absence when they receive that call.
I am a parent of a secondary student and got a call in the morning regarding a late or absence, what shall I do?
Most secondary schools use an automated late arrival call out similar to the elementary schools to inform parents providing them with the opportunity to follow-up with their child and/or report the absence reason in their Student Attendance Portal. Secondary school parents have until the beginning of period 5 to report the student’s absence reason.
