Welcome to Pineview Public School
Welcome to Pineview Public School, a proud K–5 school located at the corner of Trafalgar Road and 5 Side Road in Georgetown, Ontario. Since officially opening on January 29, 1964, Pineview has been a place where community, learning, and care come together. Our school was built to replace four pioneer schools from the 1930s, marking the close of the one-room schoolhouse era and the beginning of a shared vision for education in our community.
At Pineview, we take great pride in our rich history of building strong connections among students, families, and staff. Guided by our motto—Panthers Care, Panthers Learn, Panthers Grow, Together—we strive every day to create an inclusive and welcoming environment where everyone belongs.
Our mission is at the heart of all we do: At Pineview, we create an inclusive and welcoming community where students, families, and staff connect through kindness, curiosity, and joy. Together, we nurture critical thinking, problem solving, and a passion for learning that extends beyond the classroom.
One of Pineview’s most treasured features is our outdoor space,likely the largest playground in our school board. Our grounds include a mini forest, vast grassy areas, student-grown food, an outdoor classroom, and a beautiful gazebo. Outdoor education is a cornerstone of our school, and students engage in daily outdoor learning that makes full use of this incredible environment.
Inside the school, students benefit from a dedicated STEAM classroom where they participate in hands-on design and technology challenges using tools, wood, and cardboard to bring their ideas to life. We also encourage student engagement through a variety of extracurricular opportunities, including Creative Club, Drama Club, Choir, Intramurals, and our annual Talent Show.
At Pineview, we welcome everyone and work together to create a supportive, inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive. We are proud of our past, excited about our present, and inspired by our future.
