Parent/Visitor entry to school

Please ring the front doorbell and come in. If you are signing out your child, proceed inside to the office window to sign out. We will call your child when you arrive, not in advance.

If you have items to drop off, please help yourself to a label from the first table and leave your child’s belongings on that table. Office staff will call students to pick up their belongings. Kindly leave items on the drop off table only.

We have two tables at the entrance, one is for items drop off, the other is for visitor sign in. Please be mindful of where you are leaving things.

Please note that parents and guardians are not permitted to visit classrooms during the school day.  Please email your child’s teacher, should you need to meet or speak with them.

Safe Arrival

We encourage all students to arrive at school on time.  If your child will be late or absent, please remember to report the absence on the School Messenger, Safe Arrival Line.  Students arriving late, must come in from the front door and sign in at the office window.

Scheduling Appointments and School Hours

School hours are 9:00am to 3:20pm. Please try your best to schedule appointments before or after school hours as early pickups can be challenging if students are out on break, engaged in outdoor activities and/or lessons in the learning environment.

*Drop-off Reminders*

A reminder to all drivers who are dropping students off to school in the morning, to please follow the Provincial law of all passengers using a seat belt. Regardless of just driving through the Kindergarten loop at a slow speed, all children must be properly harnessed into their car seats/booster seats/seat belts.  Children should not be standing the car while it is moving, nor have their back packs on their backs. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our students safe.

The Big Gulp

On December 2nd, 2025 at 12 p.m., Post Corners PS will be participating in the Big Gulp Challenge, a school-wide eco-initiative inspired by EcoSchools Canada’s “Great Gulp.” During this event, all students and staff will take a synchronized “big gulp” of water from reusable water bottles to raise awareness about the importance of protecting our freshwater resources and reducing single-use plastic waste.

The Big Gulp Challenge is a simple but meaningful way for our school community to come together and take action for the environment. By choosing reusable bottles and celebrating access to clean tap water, we help reduce plastic pollution and highlight the importance of caring for the planet and our local water systems.

No Student Left Behind – Supporting HDSB Students in Need This Winter

As colder weather approaches, the Halton Learning Foundation (HLF) and its famous cheerful helper, Carrie the Backpack, are sounding the alarm: more students than ever are arriving at school without the essentials they need to stay warm, healthy, and ready to learn.

Students like Esme, whose daily walk to school became unbearable as temperatures dropped.

"Esme's winter coat was too small and thin in places. She had to wear shoes in the slush, and her feet were wet and cold on her walk to school. Her socks were damp all day, and all she could think of was her walk home after school.”

You can give Esme and other students hope—and warmth—when you donate at nostudentleftbehind.ca.

November and December are the busiest times at HLF. Last year, an average of 25 students each day needed clothing and food in those 2 months in Halton.

Your support can make a meaningful difference in students’ lives like Esme. Even a small donation helps ensure no student is left behind this winter.

To learn more or to contribute, visit nostudentleftbehind.ca.

Thank you for supporting students in our community.
