Principal’s Message
Dear Parents and Guardians,
It is a privilege and honor to be the principal of Post's Corners Public School. As part of a strong team, I work alongside Ms. Kathleen Malley, our vice-principal. Each day we welcome almost 700 students and 65 staff members to our incredible school. Our halls and classrooms are filled with the joy and excitement that new learning brings.
At Post's Corners Public School, kindness and care are at the core of everything we do. We believe that every student deserves to be valued and heard. Our dedicated staff take the time to get to know each student—what brings them joy, their passions, and their unique story. We are committed to building a school community where students, staff and families feel a sense of belonging and that all voices matter!
PCPS is proud to be a Sustainable Future School, aligned with the Learning for a Sustainable Future (LSF) Organization. Our commitment to caring for the planet is reflected in everything we do both in the classroom and outdoors, through making connections to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Students develop leadership skills and share their ideas through various initiatives, including our Climate Action Team (CAT Council). Within the CAT Council, students lead projects such as Walk and Wheel Wednesdays (WWW), Golden Globe Challenge (GG), Zero Waste Boxes, food drives and reuse initiatives—all contributing to our Platinum Certified EcoSchool status. Our entire school community works together to support our sustainability goals each week during Walk and Wheel Wednesday because our small steps can make a big impact!
Learning at PCPS is rooted in passion, dedication and a shared vision to make a difference. Through Outdoor Environmental Education (OEE), students explore our outdoor classrooms, local green spaces, gardens, take part in community walks, and engage in hands-on investigations that inspire environmental curiosity and stewardship. At PCPS, we are developing environmentally conscious thinkers who take ownership of their learning and strive to make our world a better place.
Strong partnerships with our families is critical to student learning and success. At Post’s Corners Public School, we invite loved ones to get involved by volunteering in classrooms, accompanying students on trips, supporting our breakfast cart and lunch programs and contributing through our dedicated School Council.
We look forward to an incredible journey of learning and growing together!
Ms. Sara Damaso and Ms. Kathleen Malley
