School Announcements

2025-2026 School Year

Dear Families:

Congratulations to Emily, who is Rolling Meadows’ 2026 Student of Excellence! This honour is given to a Grade 8 Student who demonstrates outstanding qualities in more than one of the following areas: self-improvement, enhancing the school and/or local community, citizenship, student leadership, outstanding achievement in academics, and extracurricular activities.

Emily consistently demonstrates excellence, representing our school values of Kindness, Community, Dedication, and Respect, in everything she does. As Student Senator and a dedicated member of the Athletic Council and Concert Band, she balances outstanding academic achievement with a deep commitment to our school community. From Junior Jenga to Snack Bar, her leadership and responsibility shine. Congratulations, Emily—your Rolling Meadows family is so proud of you!

As always, have a fantastic and restful weekend.

Sincerely,

Kristine Lukawecky, Principal

Jeff Burrows, Vice Principal

UPCOMING DAYS OF SIGNIFICANCE

  • Feb. 14th - Valentine’s Day

YMCA REMINDER

If your child is in the YMCA Before or After School Program, we ask that you please enter the school through the front doors, and not through the library doors. This is to ensure the cleanliness of our library. Thank you for your cooperation.

FAMILY STEAM NIGHT

The Rolling Meadows School Council is excited to host a Family STEAM Night on Thursday, February 12th from 6:00-7:30. All Rolling Meadows students are invited to attend with their families. This event is being provided free-of-charge due to funding that we have received from the Halton District School Board. Due to the amazing attendance at this event last year, we will be spreading the activities out between the library and gym, to ensure that there is more space. As well, we are excited to share that our Intermediate Vex Robotics Team will be showcasing the robots that they have built in the library!

MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING SESSION

All parents and guardians are invited to join us for an upcoming session focused on Mental Health and Wellbeing, taking place on February 24th from 9:00–10:15 a.m. in our school library. Please RSVP to Erika Fellner-Stagg at fellnerstagge@hdsb.ca or by responding on this Google Form here: Community Session Mental Health and Well-Being so that we can plan accordingly.
