Planned Extended Leave Form (greater than 3+ days)
We understand that from time to time, families may need to plan absences during the school year. To help support student learning and ensure a smooth return to school, we kindly remind families that any planned absence or extended leave where a student will be missing more than three (3) school days must be reported to the school using the Planned Absence Form.
Submitting this form in advance allows teachers to provide guidance on how students can asynchronously follow along with class learning while they are away. This support helps students stay connected to their courses and reduces the stress of falling behind upon their return.
Please note that absences of fifteen (15) or more school days require additional planning. In these cases, students must follow a specific course of study while they are absent. Without this, students may be demitted from their classes, as outlined by board policy.
We appreciate your partnership in supporting student success and ask that you complete the Planned Absence Form as early as possible when extended absences are anticipated. If you have questions or need support, please do not hesitate to contact the school office.
Thank you for your continued cooperation and understanding.
