NEWS - Board Approves 2014/2015 Long-Term Accommodation Plan
At it's May 20th meeting, the Board of Trustees approved the 2014/2015 Long-Term Accommodation Plan as presented.
The 2014/2015 Long Term Accommodation Plan (LTAP) provides enrolment projections for the years 2015 to 2024 for each Elementary and Secondary Review Area (ERA and SRA) in the Board as well as for each elementary and secondary school within the system. The basis of this plan is to identify new capital project initiatives for the Board from 2016/2017 to 2019/2020 in preparation for any potential updates as required by the Ministry of Education for the Capital Priorities funding requests. As well, the 2014/2015 LTAP identifies issues related to enrolment that are occurring in various review areas throughout the Board, including suggested strategies, such as boundary reviews and Program and Accommodation Reviews.
The Board Report outlines enrolment concerns in both elementary and secondary schools. Enrolment concerns include schools that either over or underutilized Where issues are raised, the data informs the Board on decisions for boundary reviews, new school construction and school closures.
Also included in the Board Report are;
-Capital Project Initiatives Summary (Table) (New Construction and Renovations)
-Boundary Issues (Table) (Proposed Boundary Reviews)
