September 24 – 25 Announcements
Equity Team
Hey Bearcats! On Tuesday, September 30, we will recognize Orange Shirt Day (National Truth and Reconciliation Day). On this day, we wear orange to remember the children who went to residential schools, the ones who survived, and the ones who did not.
To support this, our school will have a bake sale and sell pins. Money raised will go to the Water First Charity to help with reconciliation.

Here’s a cool leadership opportunity!
The HDSB Student Senate is looking for students to share ideas, speak up about challenges, and help make schools better.
The job of Student Senator means working hard and going to one meeting each month (6:00–8:30 p.m.). Some meetings are online, others in person.
At Acton District, we will pick:
-
One rep from Grades 7–8
-
Two reps from Grades 9–12
More info is on your Grade Google Classroom. If you’re interested, fill out the Google Form by October 1.
