Keynote Speaker

This year’s conference features keynote speaker Pardeep Nagra, Human Rights & Equity Advisor at the HDSB. Pardeep has spent his career helping people and organizations build stronger, more connected communities. As a speaker and humanitarian, Pardeep has inspired audiences across Canada with his message of kindness, belonging and the power of working together. His contributions have been recognized with the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal and the Queen Elizabeth II Community Service Award, among others, and he serves on the Board of Trustees for the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. A lifelong fan of the three stripes, Pardeep’s love of sport has led to many athletic accomplishments – a high school tennis champion, elite ball hockey player, Boston Marathon qualifier and a national-level boxer whose journey was portrayed in the Hollywood film Tiger. At this year’s conference, Pardeep will share stories and insights that encourage families and schools to celebrate strengths, nurture connections and create welcoming spaces where every child can flourish.
