CKSS IB Dates of Importance (Online Applications for Sept 2027)

15th October 2026: IB 'Information Session' for Grade 7 and 8 Parents and Students - In the SCHOOL GYM - 6:30pm - (no prior registration required)
30th October 2026: IBDP (Grade 11 and 12) and IB-Prep (Grade9 and 10) Applications open online.
30th November 2026 @ 11:59 pm: Online Applications for 2026/2027 School Year Close
4 December 2026: Outcome of applications sent to families and students via email. There will be no second round of applications for CKSS.
11 December 2026: Last date for families/students to Accept/Decline a place offered for the IB/IBDP Prep program.
20 December 2026: Non-HDSB (External) Students must register at CKSS if offered a place in the IBDP Prep Program.

How to Apply?

All students interested in IBDP Prep or the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) are encouraged to apply. In keeping with the philosophy of all IB World Schools, the IBDP is designed to be accessible and open to any secondary student who wishes to pursue the IB Diploma.

All students who apply to the IBDP Prep program will be accepted, provided space is available. If the number of applications exceeds the school’s capacity, a randomized selection process will be used. Eligible applicants will be assigned computer-generated numbers until all spaces are filled. Students not selected will also receive a random number and be placed on the IBDP Prep waitlist.

This process is coordinated centrally by the Board, rather than by individual schools.

Transportation Notice for IB Students

Please be advised that only students who are within the boundaries of Craig Kielburger Secondary School, and who meet the board requirements for busing, will be given board-sponsored transportation. All other students will need to arrange their own transportation to and from the school. We do not get involved with second-party transportation issues.

Therefore, if you reside outside of the transportation boundaries, you can still be accepted into the IB Prep or IBDP program here, but you will need to provide your own transportation.
