Choosing your high school courses is an exciting part of planning your future! Your course selections should reflect your interests, strengths and goals. Not sure what to take? That’s okay — there’s support to help you decide.

Course selection is submitted using myblueprint.ca each February for the coming school year. myBlueprint can be accessed by students anytime as a course and pathway planning tool.

Requesting a course change:

To request a change to a course(s) for the 2025/2026 school year, students must complete the 2025/2026 Course Change Request form from their HDSB email/login. Please note that requests for course changes are dependent upon both class sizes and timetable availability, and are completed in the order they are submitted.

HDSB External Credits Process
For all students and families who register for an external credit (course(s) not provided by the Halton District School Board), the HDSB External Credit Declaration Form must be submitted to our Guidance office at the time of registration.
Notes for Current Grade 12 Students:

All Grade 12 students must submit via myBlueprint either select “Not Returning” or select courses for next year.

All Grade 12 students are asked to complete the HDSB exit survey in myBlueprint when completing their course selections.

Current Grade 12 students who wish to return for the coming school year must submit their course selections by the February deadline in order to ensure a spot at Hayden for the following school year. Students submitting course selections after the deadline, will not be guaranteed entry for the next school year.

Grade 12 students who wish to return for one semester must select 3 or 4 courses.

Grade 12 students who wish to return for both semesters must select a minimum of 6 courses.
