Semester 2 Final Evaluations
Please review the Semester 2 Final Evaluation Schedule.
All examinations are to be completed in person on the dates outlined in the final evaluation schedule. If a student is unable to attend a scheduled examination, their parent/guardian must contact the teacher and respective Vice Principal before the scheduled exam occurs. Documentation may be required to support the request. Exam accommodation requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
If, for any reason, the school is closed for a day during the exam period, the exams for that day will be moved to the final day of the exam schedule, June 24.
For students who take the bus, arrival and departure times will follow their regular schedule.
Students will no longer be able to purchase food in the school cafeteria. The servery is now closed for the rest of this school year.

Please contact the school if you need assistance to access your child’s report card.

Summer Support for OUAC/OCAS Inquiries
During the summer, Gary Allan Learning Centre (GALC) staff are available to support urgent student needs related to OUAC and OCAS. This team can assist with post-secondary processes and make necessary updates to student accounts.
Students and families are encouraged to first contact their home school. If home school staff are unavailable, please reach out to GALC at summerschool@hdsb.ca.
School Volunteers - Police Record Check Requirements
Before participating in school activities, all volunteers are required to meet the HDSB’s volunteer screening requirements. To keep our schools safe, volunteers must complete a Police Record Check (PRC) that includes a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC).
Under updated provincial regulations effective April 1, 2026, school boards are required to collect a new PRC every 5 years. As such, volunteers whose most recent PRC was submitted on or before September 1, 2021, must obtain and submit a new PRC with VSC. Please contact the office to receive a letter on school letterhead to support your request. Volunteers who do not require a new PRC this year must complete an Annual Offence Declaration.
Please note:
- VSCs must be obtained through the police service where the volunteer resides.
- Third-party online background check services do not meet HDSB requirements, as they do not include Vulnerable Sector Screening.
- If you are interested in volunteering, contact school office staff to obtain the required documentation (letter) and more information regarding the volunteer screening process.
Thank you for your continued support of our students and school.
E-Scooters
Please be aware that electric scooters are prohibited on all school sidewalks, playgrounds and within school buildings. E-scooters are not permitted to be stored in school. In Halton, e-scooters are not permitted on public roads, sidewalks or trails. E-scooters must be operated on personal property and the rider must be at least 16 years old.
An e-scooter is a vehicle that has:
- two wheels (one at the front and one at the back)
- a platform to stand on 3
- a handlebar for steering
- an electric motor that does not exceed 500 watts
- a maximum speed of 24 km/h on a level surface
In addition to adhering to local by-laws, e-scooter riders are required under the Highway Traffic Act to use a CSA-approved motorcycle or bicycle helmet (if under the age of 18) For more information about e-scooter safety, view the Ontario Ministry of Transportation's guidelines and the Halton Regional Police Service Safety Tips webpage.
Halton Learning Foundation “Thank a Teacher” Event
As the school year winds down, the Halton Learning Foundation (HLF) invites families to take part in the ‘Thank a Teacher’ campaign, a meaningful initiative to recognize the incredible contributions of teachers and school staff across HDSB.
Beyond lessons and assignments, students are learning how to be kind, how to persevere, and how to believe in themselves. Much of that learning is made possible by educators who show up in quiet but powerful ways.
It may be the teacher who noticed a student struggling and offered encouragement.
The staff member who made a child feel included.
The educator who stayed a little longer to help something click.
Or a retiring teacher whose years of care have shaped countless lives.
These moments may not always be visible, but they are deeply felt.
Through the Thank a Teacher campaign, you are invited to honour an educator, a staff member, or a retiree with a donation in their name. Your gratitude becomes meaningful support for students in need across our community.
When a gift is made, you can send a personalized card and message to the honoured educator, letting them know someone recognized their compassion and paid it forward.
Honour an educator by visiting thankmyteacher.ca
