2025-2026 School Year

Due on Jan. 25th - Heart-shaped Vanilla Cookies
  • Purchase on School Cash Online on or before Jan. 25th.  It is offered every Thursday for a 4-week term: Feb. 5th, 9th, 12th and 26th.
  • Your purchase helps support the Band and Junior/Senior Choirs
Due on Jan. 30th - School Spirit Wear
  • Show your school spirit by ordering from: MS Spirit Wear.  Access code: MSJR.MIL  
  • Please complete your orders before  Jan. 30th
Due on Jan. 31st - Grade 2 French Immersion Program Registration
  • If you are interested in registering your Grade 1 child(ren) for the French Immersion (FI) program for Sept. 2026, registration is now open
  • Families can complete the FI Registration Form by Jan. 31st
  • Students begin the FI Program in Grade 2, where 100% of the instructional day is taught in French. For more information and resources: French Immersion Program.  

Feb. 5th - Olympics Opening Ceremonies & Parade
  • Activity: A parade in the the hallways, follwed by a gathering in the gym to celebrate the beginning of the Winter Olympics
  • Students are invited to wear Canadian gear or clothing representing any country of their choice 
Feb. 6th - Outdoor Olympic Themed Playday
  • All students will participate in outdoor, Olympic-themed activities
  • Please ensure children are dressed for the weather
Due on Feb. 8th - Pizza, Term #2
  • Purchase on School Cash Online by Feb. 8th. All ingredients are Halal and offered by Twice the Deal Pizza.
  • Term 2: Every Monday, starting on Feb. 23rd to June 15th (14-week term).
  • Pizza days help support field trips and various extracurricular activities.
Feb. 9th - The Earth Rangers Presentation for Grades K-6
  • The Earth Rangers will be visiting Martin Street to give a presentation to students in Kindergarten - Grade 6
  • The assembly will be fast-paced, with students team up to answer questions, make eco-decisions, and tackle environmental challenges, while learning key science concepts
Feb. 10th - National Sweater Day
  • All students and staff are encouraged to wear a sweater to raise awareness about climate change and energy conservation
Feb. 11th - Grade 8 Graduation Pictures
Feb. 12th - Martin Street Move-a-thon
  • Our major fundraiser for this year!
  • Families are encouraged to donate via School Cash Online - our goal is to raise $5000
Feb. 13th - PA Day - no school for students
Feb. 16th - Family Day - Schools are closed
Feb. 17th - Term 1 Report Cards and Communication of Learning are sent home
Feb. 18th - Switch Day - Monday schedule
Feb. 25th - Pink Shirt Day
  • All staff and students are encouraged to wear pink to raise awareness about bullying

May 19 - Switch Day - Monday schedule

Jun. 5th - PA Day - no school for students

Jun. 10th - Switch Day - Friday schedule

Jun. 26th - Last day of school - students dismissed at 2:05 P.M.
