1/13/2026 Jr Boys Basketball Congratulations to the Junior Boys Basketball team who beat Nelson yesterday 59 to 42. High scorers were Rylie F. with 18 points, Jamison N. with 12 & Brier O. with 9. Here is your semester one final evaluation schedule for the 2025/2026 school year:  Final Evaluation Schedule
Final evaluations will begin on January 22nd, 2026 and will follow the schedule as outlined below: 
  • Period 1: Thursday, January 22nd at 8:30 am
  • Period 2: Friday, January 23rd at 8:30 am
  • ** Period 3: Monday, January 26th at 8:30 am
  • ** Period 4: Monday, January 26th at 12:00 pm
  • Period 5: Tuesday, January 27th at 8:30 am

Course Selection 2026-27
Course selections are due this week for Grade 10 & 11 students. Courses are selected using myBlueprint.ca/halton. Slideshows from the assemblies have also been posted to the Grade 9 & 10 google classrooms.  Classroom codes: Gr. 9 - phwuwjr4, Gr. 10 - ynknax5. Course Selection Due Dates:
  • Grade 11 - Wednesday, January 14th, 2026
  • Grade 10 - Wednesday, January 14th, 2026
  • Grade 9 - Monday, February 9th, 2024

Mental Health & Well-Being Information Sessions for Parents/Guardian
The HDSB is hosting Mental Health & Well-Being Information Sessions for parents/guardians this Winter and Spring. Each session will be led by a mental health expert in that area who will share their knowledge and provide helpful information and resources.​​ The upcoming sessions include: 
  • Executive Functions in Teens: How Parents Can Help Students Thrive | Jan. 20
  • Helping Your Child Build Positive Relationships and Manage Conflict | Jan. 22
  • Halton ADAPT (Alcohol, Drug and Gambling Assessment, Prevention & Treatment Services) - Exploring Our Services | Jan. 27
  • AI, Well-Being and the Digital World | Feb. 4
  • Shaping How Kids Feel About Food: Mindful Language and Everyday Actions | Feb. 10

Donations of formal wear for HDSB’s Fashion Forward accepted until Jan. 23; Open Houses held in March and April
Jan. 6, 2026 - Fashion Forward is an initiative that provides Halton District School Board students an opportunity to select donated formal wear, at no cost, for their upcoming prom and graduation celebrations. Donations of clean, current-style formal wear for the Fashion Forward program are being accepted until the end of the day on Friday, Jan, 23. 
Students are invited to attend any of the Fashion Forward Open Houses held in March and April to view and try on formal wear in a friendly and welcoming environment. Students may select from a variety of new and gently-used attire that has been donated for proms, graduations and other special events. Many different styles, colours and sizes of formal dresses will be available as well as suits, shirts, ties, shoes and accessories.
Donations can be dropped off during school hours at the following locations:
Milton and Halton Hills
  • Gary Allan Learning Centre, Halton Hills (96 Guelph St., Georgetown) from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
  • W.I. Dick Middle School (351 Highside Dr., Milton) from 8:15 a.m. - 2:35 p.m. 
Oakville
  • Garth Webb Secondary School (2820 Westoak Trails Blvd.) from 8:30 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. 
  • Gladys Speers Public School (2150 Samway Rd.) from 8:50 a.m. - 3:10 p.m. 
Burlington
  • Alton Village Public School (3290 Steeplechase Dr.) from 8:40 a.m. - 3 p.m. 
  • Lakeshore Public School (2243 Lakeshore Rd.) from 8:40 a.m. - 3 p.m. 
  • M.M. Robinson High School (2425 Upper Middle Rd.) from 8:30 a.m. - 2:50 p.m. 
To browse for formal wear, students can attend one of the Fashion Forward Open Houses:

  • Tuesday, April 21 and Thursday, April 23 from 3:30 - 8 p.m at Rolling Meadows Public School (1522 Mountain Grove, Burlington)
Students are required to bring student identification to the Open House they attend. 
A more private shopping opportunity will be available from 3 - 3:30 p.m. during the Open Houses for anyone who would benefit from it.
