10/20/2025 MD Theatre Play reading series For the first time ever, MD Theatre is hosting a public play reading for our one act play festival. If you are interested in seeing the professional playwriting process, and want to further support MD Theatre come out on Tuesday Oct 21. Doors open at 6:45. 10/20/2025 Introducing your Student Senators for 2025/2026 school year Youur Student Senators are dedicated to representing MDHS at the board level, sharing student voices, and helping to make our school an even better place.

Mikayla J is a proud grade 12 student representing MDHS as one of this year’s Student Senators. She’s passionate about leadership, student voice and making a positive impact in our school community. She’s excited to bring student ideas forward and help create meaningful changes not only at MDHS, but board-wide as well.

Swara D is a proud Grade 11 student serving as one of MDHS’s Student Senators for this school year. She is passionate about amplifying student voices and building stronger connections within our school community. Swara is committed to making sure every student feels heard, supported, and represented.

10/22/2025 Cross Country GHAC A HUGE congratulations goes out to our Mustang Cross Country Team! They ran at GHAC yesterday and set some incredible Personal Records. IMPORTANT MESSAGE FOR BUS STUDENTS

Calling all MDHS Bus Students!  Please visit the office during your break or after school to pick up your bus pass.  Bring your student ID in order to have your pass applied. Bus Drivers will begin to start asking students to see their bus pass when you are boarding the bus in the next couple of days so make sure to get your bus pass sticker ASAP for the back of your student card!

 The HDSB’s Kindergarten program provides children with a strong foundation for lifelong learning and success by developing curiosity, problem-solving and early literacy and math skills in a welcoming environment.

Director’s Panel - Celebrating Excellence in Learning, Engagement and Achievement - Oct. 27

HDSB families, students, staff and community members are invited to the first session of the

Director’s Panel Series for the 2025-2026 school year: Celebrating Excellence in Learning,

Engagement and Achievement. This virtual session will take place on Monday, Oct. 27 from 6 - 7 

p.m. 

Celebrating Excellence in Learning, Engagement and Achievement showcases how the HDSB delivers a fulsome education experience by creating vibrant learning environments where students are inspired and supported to thrive in their pursuit of academic excellence. This session will explore how the HDSB prioritizes strong foundational and core learning that equips students for success both in the classroom and beyond, while developing transferable skills and providing opportunities for students to pursue individual interests and pathways.

Homestay Hosts Needed in Halton

Each year, the HDSB’s International Student Program (ISP) welcomes students into schools, and as a result, our programs benefit, our community benefits and local students create lifelong friendships and global connections. Canada Homestay Network (CHN) is currently looking for hosts in Halton for international students joining the HDSB in 2026.

Hosting an international student is a unique and rewarding experience. You'll give a young learner a life-changing opportunity while creating lasting memories for your own family. As a host, you provide a private bedroom, three daily meals, access to WiFi and laundry and a welcoming, supportive and safe home. CHN offers full training, 24/7 support and a monthly stipend.

CHN will be hosting a virtual information sessions for families interested in learning more about becoming homestay hosts:
