MD Principal’s Message

Welcome to Milton District High School!

I am very proud to be the Principal of a school where students feel connected, they are treated with kindness, have a sense of community and are given opportunities of excellent education.  Our school offers 8 SHSMs (Specialist High School Majors) in Arts and Culture, Business, Construction, Engineering and Manufacturing, Health and Wellness, Music and Audio Production, and Transportation.  We offer basketball, volleyball, football, soccer, golf,badminton, soft ball, baseball, tennis, track and field, cross country, rugby, field lacrosse as well as many many clubs DECA, MSA, Sunshine Club, Programming/Gaming Club, Rockband club, School Newspaper (Mustang Messenger), HOSA, Ethics Bowl and the list goes on and on. There is a comprehensive list under teams and clubs on our website.  We also offer the AP program in Grades 9 - 12.  

At MD, we want you to Belong, Elevate and Respect - that is our motto.  We have high expectations for all students and we want them to become the best version of themselves while at high school.  We care about who our students are and engage with them to get to know them as people.  Our staff know our students, they are here to help them and support them the best way we can.

From our guidance department, our special education department, our student success department as well as all of our curriculum teachers we are here to support students.  We encourage our students to get involved in our many clubs and teams so they develop that true sense of belonging that is so key to our student wellness.  Character is important at MD and when you experience our school and hallways you will feel that sense of belonging as well as respect.

It is an absolute honour to be the Principal of a school with such fantastic staff who care about their students and want them to do well.
