Quebec Carnival Trip Parent Info Night

There will be a parent information night on October 28th in the library at 6:30pm. All grade 9 and 10 students who are enrolled in a french course are welcome to come and get more information. 

Quebec Carnival Trip - Feb 6-9 

If you are currently enrolled in grade 9 or 10 French courses and are interested in travelling to Quebec please come to room 321 at 11:10am on Friday for a quick meeting. 

Field Hockey Championship Fan Bus!!! 

Secure your spot on the Field Hockey Championship Bus for this Thursday, Oct. 23.  Bus leaves at 11am and returns at 1pm.  Pay $8 on School Cash Online to secure your spot, THEN pick up and return your signed permission form to the Phys Ed office!

Gr 9-10 Trivia Team

Warning: the trivia team causes sudden bursts of genius and uncontrollable laughter. Side effects include knowing way too much about art history, Taylor Swift and sports. Sign up and join the smartest (and silliest) club in school! We meet on Fridays at lunch in math room 119. See you there!

Junior Concert Band Fridays at lunch (11:03-11:37) If you are a grade 9 or 10 student interested in playing in our band, come on out and play every Friday at lunch! No audition required. We are preparing for our winter concert and possible competitions throughout the year!

Girls Varsity Hockey

Tryouts are this Thursday, October 23 and Monday, October 27 from 3:30-4:30 at Mountainside arena. Bring your athletic forms to room 215 in order to participate. See you at the rink!

My Hair, My Crown Workshop - GCBS (NEW)

Are you a Black-identifying student interested in the history and power of Black hair? Join ROCK’s My Hair, My Crown workshop next Monday, October 20, at lunch in room 202A, the Affinity Space. Learn about hair types and styles while making your own hair care product. Free food and snacks provided! Open to all Black-identifying students - allies welcome with a Black-identifying friend. Photo Day is tomorrow. It will take place in the small gym and it will be all day. This is the only day that they will be here to do pictures for staff and students.

EcoRams are collecting items for our bi-annual swap event on October 16th: clothing, apparel, and accessories, Halloween costumes, books, toys, small household items (i.e. Small Picture Frames, Decorative Items).

A donation dropoff box is in the guidance. All donated items/apparel MUST be gently used, clean and free of rips/tears. Electronics/Appliances will NOT be accepted.

- HOSA Chapter at MMR? (NEW)

A brief meeting will be held Tuesday Oct. 7 in 104 at the start of lunch to gauge interest in starting a new HOSA chapter at MMR. HOSA is the largest student health science organization in North America.
