A Message from our Relay for Life Student Organizers -  Wednesday May 20, 2026

Our students have decided to host a Canadian Cancer Society Relay for Life. Our event will take place on May 20 from 1:30 - 9:00 pm. Relay For Life is a global movement to end cancer, celebrate cancer survivors with a Survivors’ Lap, and to honour the memory of loved ones with a special Luminary Ceremony. You can donate online through our school Relay for Life website: relayforlife.ca/MMR. Your student can sign up for our event on this page as well. Please share our link with your friends and family. We are looking for survivors to speak at our event. If you or someone you know has been affected by cancer or would like to speak on behalf of someone who has, please feel free to contact our Recruitment Lead at 1manningkal@hdsb.ca. As well, we are looking for student volunteers - a good way to accumulate community involvement hours as part of the OSSD requirements.
