Friday, September 4: Class placement information sent out at the end of the day.

Tuesday, September 8: First Day of School. Information Tent open on the blacktop from 8:40 a.m. – 8:55 a.m. for placement questions.

Monday, September 14: Virtual School Council Meeting from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. All parents welcome.

Monday, September 21: Breakfast Club (8:40 a.m. – 8:55 a.m. daily) and Healthy Snack Bins begin. Consent forms sent home during the first week must be returned to participate.

Thursday, September 24: Start-Up Forms are due.

Thursday, October 1: Meet and Mingle Open House from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. (Pizza orders available via School Cash Online in September).

Thursday, October 8: Spiritwear orders close (Order at www.schooltee.com with password: MCLA.OAK).

Friday, October 9: PA Day (No school for students).

Monday, October 12: Thanksgiving Day (No school for students).
Daily Operations & Schedule

Supervision Hours: Morning supervision runs 8:40 a.m. – 8:55 a.m. Afternoon supervision ends at 3:30 p.m. (Students must be picked up by 3:15 p.m.).

Absences & Lates: Report all absences via School Messenger (Phone: 1-877-409-6310, app, or go.schoolmessenger.ca). Late students arriving after 8:55 a.m. must report to the front intercom.

Item Drop-Offs & Visitors: Use the intercom at the front doors. Items can be labeled and left on the Drop Off Table in the front entrance. Visitors must report to the office to sign in and receive a sticker.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures

Kindergarten: Use the Kindergarten Pens (K1 & K3 at the front; K2 & K4 at the back). Parents are requested not to enter the pen. Dismissal is at 3:00 p.m.

Grades 1–8: Access the back blacktop using the north path (walking through the parking lot is prohibited). Find the designated grade pylon/teacher. Pick up at the same location or at the Kiss & Ride.

Kiss & Ride & Parking: Montclair is a walking school. Parking is available on side streets or at White Oaks Secondary School. The school parking lot is closed to cars and walkers from 8:40 a.m. – 8:55 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Do not leave cars unattended in the Kiss & Ride or park in the bus loop/fire route.
Safety, Medical & Transportation

Medical Plans of Care: Contact Vice Principal Nicole Jones (jonesn@hdsb.ca) for allergy or medical needs. Students with anaphylaxis must carry an EpiPen, and students with asthma must carry their puffer at all times.

Bus Students: Bus riders gather in the gym at dismissal; Kindergarten bus students are escorted to the front pen. Written notification to the teacher is required if a bus student is not taking the bus home on a given day. Track bus status at haltonbus.ca.

Crossing Guards & Safety: Yield the full roadway to pedestrians at crosswalks. Pedestrians must dismount bikes when crossing and remain back from the curb until instructed by a crossing guard.
