Forest Trail PS to Sunningdale PS (Active)

• There is no impact on students who are currently enrolled at Forest Trail PS for Grade 2 to Grade 8 French Immersion. 
• All Grade 2 French Immersion that have already registered at Forest Trail PS by February 1, 2026 for the 2026-27 school year can remain at Forest Trail PS.
• New Grade 2 to Grade 8 French Immersion program registrations after February 1, 2026 will register at Sunningdale PS. 

• There is no impact on students who are currently enrolled at Forest Trail PS for Grade 2 to Grade 8 French Immersion. 
• All Grade 2 French Immersion that have already registered at Forest Trail PS by February 1, 2026 for the 2026-27 school year will remain at Forest Trail PS.
• New Grade 2 to Grade 8 French Immersion program registrations after February 1, 2026 will continue to register at Forest Trail PS.

Transportation will be provided to Sunningdale PS as per Transportation Eligibility Guidelines.

The redirection will reach a conclusion once one of the following occurs:

• The boundary review for Northwest Oakville is completed and implemented, resulting in enrolment pressure relief at Forest Trail PS. Note this may require boundary changes for a number of schools with an implementation phase-in over a number of years; and/or,
• Enrolment and/or classroom utilization drop below a level as determined by school board staff.

To attend a different school that is not your designated school, you will have to request an Out of Area Transfer.

Please refer to the map above for your reference - new registered students within the RED boundary will be redirected to Sunningdale PS. Tools such as Find My Local School and Transportation Eligibility can assist in helping you determine if you are impacted.
