International Baccalaureate (IB) Program
White Oaks is home to Oakville's International Baccalaureate program, celebrating 20 years of IB programming this fall as part of the longest-standing and widely accessible IB offering in the Halton region. The IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) is a globally recognized program for Grades 11 and 12 that challenges students to excel academically and personally. Graduates earn both the IB Diploma and the Ontario Secondary School Diploma, with recognition from universities in more than 110 countries offering advanced standing, course credits and scholarships.
An IBDP Prep program in Grades 9 and 10 builds strong academic foundations at no cost to families and every student who applies will be accepted, provided space is available.

The Specialist High Skills Major program is a specialized program for Grade 11 and 12 students that allows them to focus their learning on a specific economic sector while meeting the requirements to graduate from secondary school. Students gain sector-specific skills and certifications in engaging, career-related learning environments and prepare in a focused way for post-secondary education, training or employment.
Paired with Ontario Youth Apprenticeship Program (OYAP) opportunities, SHSM at White Oaks connects classroom learning directly to future careers.

Cooperative Education (Co-op)
Cooperative Education provides secondary students with valuable experiential learning to apply, refine and extend their learning from the classroom into the community. Co-op allows students to earn secondary school credits while completing a work experience placement with employers across Halton in fields that interest them.
Athletics
White Oaks is home of the Wildcats, with teams competing across Halton in every season. From first tryouts in Grade 9 to championship runs in Grade 12, there is a place for every athlete to compete, grow and belong.

Students can discover their passion, build their confidence and create unforgettable memories by getting involved in extracurricular activities. White Oaks clubs and teams offer the perfect mix of challenge, creativity and community, available all year round across both campuses.

At the HDSB, we understand that starting high school is more than just a change in schedule; it is the beginning of a journey that will shape who students become, both in and beyond the classroom.
White Oaks' caring educators, guidance counsellors and student services team are invested in every student's success and committed to supporting their journey from the first day of Grade 9 to graduation day. Dedicated supports for multilingual learners and newcomer families ensure every student feels welcome from day one.
There are five Pathways that students may choose to pursue after secondary school and they are all valued equally. They are Apprenticeship, College, Community, University and Work.
Through Pathways, students are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunities provided in secondary school to know themselves, identify strengths, set educational and career goals and create a plan to achieve them. Working independently, with their guidance counsellor or with support staff, White Oaks students are encouraged to leverage all areas of programming, both academic and cocurricular, to plan a future that fits their individual goals and aspirations.
