White Oaks SS students Kaiya Ajmera and Zoe Vasilijevic achieve perfect scores in International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

July 28, 2026 – The Halton District School Board is proud to announce that two Grade 12 students from White Oaks Secondary School in Oakville – Kaiya Ajmera and Zoe Vasilijevic – achieved rare perfect scores in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme.

A perfect IB score is an extraordinary achievement, earned by only a small percentage of students globally. Kaiya and Zoe received top marks – a score of seven – in all six subject areas, as well as an 'A' in both the Theory of Knowledge course and the Extended Essay, culminating in a perfect 45/45 Diploma Points.

This exceptional achievement arrives at a milestone moment for White Oaks Secondary School, which is celebrating 20 years of offering IB programming this fall. Over the past two decades, the school has built a long legacy of excellence in delivering the rigorous IB curriculum, supported by a dedicated teaching staff and a history of outstanding alumni student achievements.

The IB program is an advanced, comprehensive, world-recognized two-year diploma that provides a highly demanding academic curriculum for motivated students. As IBDP students, they tackle some of the most challenging courses available, learning material typically covered during the first year of university.

Along with individual academic dedication, the program encourages students to be physically active, get involved in their school and give back to their community. Kaiya and Zoe embody this spirit, striving for personal growth goals, taking risks and acting as respectful global citizens.

Quotes

“Being at White Oaks was the ideal environment for success. I honestly couldn't have done it without all the dedicated and supportive staff,” says Kaiya Ajmera. “From the first day in the IB program, we were given a world of resources and opportunities to learn from. For me, the best part about IB was the challenge. It's a chance to think critically, learn to study efficiently and be exposed to different perspectives. Despite the academic rigour, it was also the best place to find driven and like-minded friends. With university, and its own obstacles, on the horizon, I can safely say that IB helped me grow into a stronger and more confident student.”

“I went into IB expecting it to be extremely competitive and time-consuming," says Zoe Vasilijevic. “While it was definitely challenging, I ended up building many meaningful friendships and strengthening. The support I received at White Oaks has played a huge role in preparing me for post-secondary education. My teachers were deeply committed to their students’ success and were always willing to offer help when needed. They created an environment where I felt motivated to push myself academically and comfortable asking questions. Through this, I developed strong time management, discipline and independent learning skills that I know will help me transition into university life.”
