For 20 years, White Oaks Secondary School has been providing students with opportunities to challenge themselves, explore their interests and prepare for success beyond high school through its International Baccalaureate (IB) program. To celebrate this milestone, White Oaks SS is reflecting on two decades of academic achievement, personal growth and lasting connections made through the program.

Craig Kielburger Secondary School in Milton hosted its second annual IGNITE! event this week, a two-day transition program designed to help incoming Grade 9 students feel comfortable and confident before the start of the school year.

Halton District School Board (HDSB) secondary schools made an incredible impact through Relay For Life this year, raising more than $640,000 collectively in support of the Canadian Cancer Society. Thousands of students and staff participated in the annual event, demonstrating the power of community while honouring those whose lives have been affected by cancer.

Students, families, educators and community partners gathered at Sheridan College to celebrate the achievements of the Class of 2026 during the School Within a College (SWAC) End of the Year Celebration ceremony.

Grade 10 Burlington Central School student, Josephine Ankomah, was recently crowned the Canadian National Brain Bee Champion, earning the opportunity to represent Canada at the International Brain Bee World Championship this November after competing against more than 800 competitors. She will also complete a neuroscience laboratory internship at McMaster University this summer.
