Vaping and e-cigarettes
The health and safety of our students is our highest priority. We are sharing information about vaping and e-cigarettes to ensure students and families have the facts about these nicotine-containing products.
Information Sessions for Parents/Guardians
- Milton: Craig Kielburger Secondary School – Tuesday, May 27
- Halton Hills: Cancelled due to low registration. Note: Transportation is available for parents/guardians who wish to travel to another area within Halton to attend the conference.
- Oakville: Garth Webb Secondary School – Monday, June 2
- Burlington: Nelson High School – Tuesday, June 3
Consequences for Vaping at School
- According to the Smoke-Free Ontario Act, 2017 vaping is not allowed in schools, on school grounds, and in public areas within 20 metres of school property.
- Students found vaping on school property could receive a school suspension and be fined by a By-law Officer.
