PSW Program Advisory Committee
In compliance with the Ontario Association of Adult and Continuing Education School Board Administrators (CESBA) Personal Support Worker (PSW) Program Quality Assurance Process, the HDSB is required to have an advisory committee for the PSW program.
The Committee serves in an advisory capacity to provide constructive feedback and input on various aspects of the program (i.e. lab assessment pieces, development of student handbook, clinical and/or consolidation evaluations, development of theory lesson plans, assignments, assessments, etc.) and develop action plans for HDSB staff.
Individuals selected to serve on the Advisory Committee must agree to comply with HDSB’s policies and procedures including Code of Conduct, Code of Ethics, and Privacy and Information Management. HDSB abides by the principles set out in the Ontario Human Rights Code and the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
Committee members will serve for one year and be appointed on an annual basis. The Committee will meet at minimum once per program year (either virtually or in person) and the presence of a majority of all committee members is necessary to form a quorum.
The Halton District School Board appreciates your interest in contributing to enhancing public safety and the quality of care in Ontario. We look forward to receiving applications from dedicated individuals committed to making a positive impact in the healthcare sector. Please note: Only those individuals being considered for a PSW Advisory Committee position will be contacted.
